You may be getting messages from Windows Defender about it being turned off that look like this:


If you click on this notification, you can select "Turn off messages..." to avoid this annoyance.


Part II
Still getting notifications?
It's possible these notifications will persist. This is a known issue with the system, and we're waiting for a fix from FortiClient and Microsoft.

In the meantime, if these notifications are intolerable, you can turn off notifications with the following actions:
  1. Click the Start Menu and type Notifications


  2. Open that menu and turn off notifications. You can either turn off all notifications or...


    ...you can scroll down a bit to just turn off the Security and Maintenance notifications.
