Spam Summary Emails

You may receive emails from release-ctrl@klas.orem.healthcomputing.com that look like this:

These are emails summarizing spam that you would've received if it weren't for our spam blocker, FortiMail. These summaries can help you make sure you're not missing any important emails that you might be expecting. To restore an email that appears to be safe, select 'Release'. You must be on the KLAS network to access this tool.

Anti-spam filters can’t block all spam. Nothing is perfect. This is a war we can be winning, but not one that we can win. This professional tool will do its best to block most spam. Check your spam summaries often to see if a good email was accidentally blocked.

How to View Your Spam

  • You can restore emails from this list from the daily spam summary, or from this FortiMail tool directly.

    ($900/week salary? Seems legit.)

  • You can search for specific emails addresses you're looking for at the top of the page.

  • You can add email addresses to your Safe List or to your Block List.

  • After you click on the Safe List, you'll see a field to enter in the safe email address.

Report Spam
  • The Anti-spam features of this tool aren't perfect. You can help mark email as spam. This is from the FortiMail support (https://fortiguard.com/more/antispam).

Spam submitted will be analyzed, their signatures will be extracted and added to our spam signature database, which makes FortiGuard AntiSpam detecting and filtering similar spam. We appreciate your submitting spam samples, but do not respond to them because of the volume.

  • Please note: We have not implemented this feature yet. Once our inbound email is stable, we'll then implement the outbound email filtering.

Spoofing
Sometimes emails can be spoofed. According to Wikipedia, email spoofing "is the creation of email messages with a forged sender address". You may get an occasional email from an employee or from something like printer@klasresearch.com which appears to be safe, but once you read the message, you find that it actually isn't safe. Unfortunately, spoofing is a common practice in spamming.

Greylisting
If you're experiencing delays with your email, this may be due to FortiMail Greylisting. Please read about this enhanced feature here.
