Setting up a conference call is very easy. With just a few clicks, you can be ready to have your call.


  1. Select Schedule new conference from the conference window...


    ...or from the conference menu.


  2. The default option is for this conference call to occur Once.


    The disadvantage of a conference call that occurs Once at a specific time is that you cannot call into the conference call before the established time (not even a few minutes before as people normally do to be early).
    An alternative is to set up your call as Ongoing so you can start the call whenever you'd like.



  3. Select Save & Invite and choose your option to send an invitation with the conference line details.




  4. If you Invite via E-mail you should see an Outlook email populate with information like this:

    If you're only sending to non-KLAS, external participants, you may consider deleting the portion that explains our KLAS internal employees can dial in.

  5. You'll now see your reserved conference line information in the conference window in MXIE.


    Select the green arrow for additional options with your conference call.


Note: There is a security concern with reusing the same Ongoing conference line. Any vendor or provider could call in with the same information you've given them in the past for any future conference calls you make. Consider making a new conference line with each new conference call if you choose to use the Ongoing conference lines (rather than Once). You are responsible for your own privacy.
