This new VPN connection is more secure. This is the preferred method for accessing the KLAS network through a VPN connection.


VPN browser

  1. Navigate to https://199.192.165.98:10443. Select Continue to advance past the notification.

  2. Login with your first.lastname and your KLAS password. (e.g. john.doe)


  3. You can access KLAS network files here in your browser, or you continue to Step 4 to set up the VPN on your Mac.


    VPN on your computer
    ✔ If you would like to set up the KLAS VPN on your Apple computer, continue with the following steps.
    ✔ If you already have FortiClient installed on your computer, then skip Step 4.

  4. Download and install FortiClient for Mac from this link: https://cloud.klasresearch.com/owncloud/s/zK8LKChyweeFXQt
    The password to download the file is "transcription" without quotations.


  5. When the installation finishes, open FortiClient and open Remote Access from the left sidebar. Then click the gear icon and Add a new connection.


  6. Setup the VPN connection with the following parameters:


  7. Select Add. To connect, type in your KLAS word and connect. When prompted with the following notification, choose to Show Certificate.



  8. Choose to Always trust "xxxx" by selecting the checkbox. Then select Continue to advance through the notification.
