This new VPN connection is more secure. This is the preferred method for accessing the KLAS network through a VPN connection.

VPN browser

1. a) Navigate to https://199.192.165.98:10443. 
   

   

   
   b) Select Advanced and then Proceed to xxxxx to proceed past the notification. (In this case, it is safe to do this.)
   

   

   
   

2. Login with your first.lastname and your KLAS password. (e.g. john.doe)
   

   

   
   

3. You can access KLAS network files here in your browser by selecting one of the Bookmarks, or you continue to Step 4 to set up the VPN on your PC.
   

   
   
   ❢ Note: KLASFilesrv is now mobile! You can also access the KLASFilesrv this same way (Steps 1-3) with the browser on your phone. Do not download sensitive files to your device.

   VPN on your computer
   ✔ If you would like to set up the KLAS VPN on your PC, continue with the following steps.
   ✔ If you already have FortiClient installed on your computer, then skip Step 4.
   
   

4. Download FortiClient for Windows and Install. If you're a contracted transcriptionist and not a KLAS employee, please choose to install VPN Only rather than the Complete installation.
   

   

   
   
   

5. Open FortiClient. You can either open it from the Start Menu, or double click the green shield icon in your System Tray.

   Then, select Remote Access from the left sidebar. Then click the gear icon and Configure VPN.
   

   

   
   

6. Setup the VPN connection with the following parameters:
   

   

   
   

7. Select Apply and then Close. To connect, use your KLAS username (e.g. john.doe) and password.
